The Progress Disc Screen is designed primarily for removing oversize rejectable material from unscreened chips or bark.
The principle of the "PDS" unit is a series of star-shaped discs all rotating in the same direction. The spacing between the discs is closely controlled, which allows the acceptable material to pass through and the oversize material to carry over the end.
A significant design feature of the "PDS" unit is the star-shaped disc assembly. It is easily removed and simple to replace. By using a different length spacer, the disc centers can be changed to regulate the size of acceptable material.

Timing belts are used to drive the disc assemblies without lubrication being required
